I grew up in a suburban semi on the outskirts of London and my experience of the countryside was seriously lacking. I’m still a city girl at heart but since moving to the country I have discovered a love of the great outdoors.
Well, almost. I am terrified of New Forest ponies, the ones that obviously don’t want me picnic-ing on their patch. Signs that declare ‘Beware of the Bull’ fill me with panic and herds of cows who clearly are not keen on me walking along the towpath adjacent to their field motivate me to walk that bit faster.
From my little campervan though, I am safe. Safe to experience nature and to watch the world go by. I am a homebody with a sense of adventure and from my little home on wheels, I am always exploring new places, yet I am always right at home.
